Biotium HSV1 (Herpes Simplex Virus Type I) (HSV1/1934), CF740 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
The antibody reacts with HSV type 1 specific antigen. It is suitable for detection of HSV in human cellular material obtained from superficial lesions or biopsies and for the early identification of HSV in infected tissue cultures. The herpes simplex virus (HSV) (also known as cold sore, night fever or fever blister) is a virus that causes a contagious disease. There are two main types of Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV), 1 and 2. The HSV-1 strain generally appears in the orafacial organs. HSV2 usually resides in the sacral ganglion at the base of the spine. All herpes viruses are morphologically identical: they have a large double-stranded DNA genome and the virion consists of an icosahedral nucleo-capsid, which is surrounded by a lipid bilayer envelope.Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF405S and CF405M

Biotium Cytokeratin 16 (KRT16) (Suprabasal Keratinocyte Marker)(LL025), CF740 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
Cytokeratins are a family of intermediate filament proteins that assemble into filaments through forming heterodimers of one type I Cytokeratins (Cytokeratins 9 to 23) and one type II Cytokeratins (keratins 1 to 8). The cytokeratin proteins play a critical role in differentiation, as well as tissue specialization and function, to maintain the overall structural integrity of epithelial cells. Cytokeratins are also useful markers in identifying the origin of metastatic tumors. Cytokeratin 16 is expressed in benign stratified squamous epithelium and squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck, as well as luminal cells of mammary gland and sweat ducts. It is absent in non-invasive breast carcinomas and normal breast tissue. Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF405S and CF405M are not recommended for dete

Biotium TIA1 (T-Cell-Restricted Intracellular Antigen-1) (TIA1/1313), CF568 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
TIA-1 (T-cell intracytoplasmic antigen) is a cytoplasmic granule-associated protein expressed in lymphocytes processing cytolytic potential. TIA-1 is a member of an RNA-binding protein family and possesses nucleolytic activity against cytotoxic lymphocyte (CTL) target cells. It has been suggested that this protein may be involved in the induction of apoptosis as it preferentially recognizes poly(A) homopolymers and induces DNA fragmentation in CTL targets. The major granule-associated species is a 15 kDa protein thought to be derived from the carboxyl terminus of the 40 kDa product by proteolytic processing. TIA1 antibody labels cytotoxic T cells and natural killer cells (NK cells). It is also expressed in T-cell lymphoma, large granular lymphocyte (LGL) leukemia and hairy cell leukemia. TIA1 expression in T-cell malignancies may help in differentiating LGL leukemia (high expression) from T-cell lymphocytosis and other T-cell diseases (low expression). TIA1 may also be used t

Biotium MAML3 (Mastermind Like Transcriptional Coactivator 3) (MAML3/1303), CF568 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
MAML3 (mastermind-like protein 3) is a nuclear speckle protein that acts as a transcriptional coactivator for Notch receptors. The Notch signaling pathway influences cell fate by regulating the ability of precursor cells to properly respond to developmental signals. MAML3 is a member of the mastermind-like family of proteins that are human homologs of the Drosophila melanogaster mastermind protein. Through its N-terminal region, MAML3 interacts with the ankyrin repeats of the Notch proteins Notch 1, Notch 2, Notch 3 and Notch 4.This interaction leads to formation of a DNA-binding complex with the Notch proteins and RBP-J, a complex that can then induce HES1 gene expression. While the N-terminal domain of MAML3 is essential for proper Notch binding, the C-terminal domain of MAML3 is essential for transcriptional activation. Due to its involvement in cell signaling and transcriptional activation, upregulation of MAML3 is thought to be involved in oncogenesis.Primary antibodies

Biotium Chromogranin A / CHGA (Neuroendocrine Marker), 0.2mg/mL
Chromogranin A is present in neuroendocrine cells throughout the body, including the neuroendocrine cells of the large and small intestine, adrenal medulla and pancreatic islets. It is an excellent marker for carcinoid tumors, pheochromocytomas, paragangliomas, and other neuroendocrine tumors. Co-expression of chromogranin A and neuron specific enolase (NSE) is common in neuroendocrine neoplasms. Reportedly, co-expression of certain keratins and chromogranin indicates neuroendocrine lineage. The presence of strong anti-chromogranin staining and absence of anti-keratin staining should raise the possibility of paraganglioma. The co-expression of chromogranin and NSE is typical of neuroendocrine neoplasms. Most pituitary adenomas and prolactinomas readily express chromogranin. Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Biotium BCL10 (MALT-Lymphoma Marker)(151), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
B-cell lymphoma/leukemia 10 (BCL10) is a signaling protein that promotes apoptosis, pro-caspase-9 maturation, and activation of NF-kappa-B via NIK and IKK. BCL10 contains an N-terminal caspase recruitment domain (CARD), which is found in a number of apoptotic regulatory molecules. BCL10 is involved in the adaptive immune response, and may be an adapter protein between upstream TNFR1-TRADD-RIP complex and the downstream NIK-IKK-IKAP complex. A BCL10 translocation is recurrent in low-grade mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT lymphoma). Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF405S and CF405M are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets, because blue dyes have lower fluorescence and can give higher non-specific background than other dye colors.

Biotium Gastrin(GAST/2631), CF488A conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
Gastrin, is a hormone that normally formed by mucosal cells in the gastric antrum and by the D cells of the pancreatic islets. Its primary function is to stimulate secretion of HCl by the gastric mucosa. HCl, in turn, inhibits gastrin formation. It also responsible for stimulating smooth muscle contraction and increasing blood circulation and water secretion in the stomach and intestine. Gastrin is regulated by epidermal growth factor in both mice and humans. Gastrin is excreted in excess by pancreatic tumors in the Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Gastrin-Releasing Peptide (GRP) stimulates the release of gastrin as well as other gastrointestinal hormones and also acts as an autocrine growth factor for certain cell types. High levels of GRP are found in the human lung just after birth and levels decrease thereafter in parallel with the observed disease in a number of pulmonary neuroendocrine cells. GRP is known to promote lung tumorigenesis in model systems. Primary antibodies are

Biotium CD357 / GITR(GITR/1585), 0.2mg/mL
The tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) superfamily represents a growing family of type I transmembrane glycoproteins that are involved in various cellular functions, including proliferation, differentiation and programmed cell death. These proteins share homology for cysteine-rich repeats in the extracellular ligand binding domain and an intracellular death domain. Members of the TNFR superfamily transmit signals through protein-protein interactions, and these signals can lead to the activation of either the caspase and Jun kinase pathways, which promote cell death, or the NFB signaling pathway. Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Biotium ALK (Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase) / CD246 (ALK/1503), CF568 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
The wild-type anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) protein is a 200 kDa transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinase. Its expression is restricted to a few scattered cells in the nervous system (some glial cells and neurons, and a few endothelial cells and pericytes). ALK has been found to be rearranged, mutated, or amplified in a series of tumors. The hybrid gene, NPM-ALK, created by the t(2;5)(p23;q35) chromosomal translocation, encodes part of the nucleolar phosphoprotein nucleophosmin (NPM), joined to the entire cytoplasmic portion of ALK. As a consequence, the ALK gene comes under the control of the NPM promoter, which induces a permanent and ubiquitous transcription of the NPM-ALK hybrid gene, resulting in the production of a 80 kDa NPM-ALK chimeric protein. This translocation is found in anaplastic large cell lymphomas (ALCL). Reportedly, expression of ALK indicates a better prognosis. Approximately 5%-10% of non-small cell lung carcinomas also express ALK protein, producing a c
